Assists with all teller line functions, provides superior customer service and will identify sales opportunities by utilizing product knowledge and listening to customers. Position hours: Thursday 1:15-6:15, Friday 1:15-6:15, and approximately every other Saturday 8:45-1:15
Total average hours: 12.25 hours per week
|Delivers outstanding customer service (accurately and efficiently) to the customer base Answers telephones as needed to ensure customer calls are promptly picked up. Responsible for own cash drawer and own teller work, including following security procedures, balancing, maintaining appropriate cash levels, encoding, scanning, placing holds, etc. as may be required. Assists supervisors with day-to-day branch/teller line activities such as: ATM balancing, bagging coin, buying/selling money under dual control, ED maintenance and other tasks as needed. Has a working knowledge of bank products and services so as to answer questions or refer customer to appropriate personnel. Identifies sales opportunities by looking at entire customer relationship, listening and asking questions, and providing information in order to recognize and meet customers known or anticipated needs. Tracks sales activity and follows up where appropriate, and provides accurate and timely sales reports to manager/supervisor. Perform personal banker functions on an "as needed" basis Actively participate in the branch sales program and goal achievement Maintain The Provident Bank's policies and procedures |
Computer skills - Competency in COCC Insight, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Training on COCC applications will be provided and enhanced training can be obtained for the Microsoft applications if applicable. Knowledge of basic office/branch equipment Cash Handling experience - 1 year Customer Service experience - 1 year Previous banking experience required Minimum age requirement of 18 years old
Physical Demands/Condition Requirements:
Standing during duration of shift Visually be able to make positive identification of an individual Independently transport money and coin of approximately 20lbs Independently assist customers with monetary transactions Ability to assist customers and staff in an emergency situation
